Benjamin Bunny: with his big hat and his shoes in his hand comes in four versions and several variations within those versions.
 
The small figure (10.1 cm) was modelled by Arthur Gredington.
In the first version which was issued in 1948 and ran until 1974 Benjamin’s ears can be seen poking out of the back of his hat and his shoes are out from his body. He can have either a tan or green jacket and has the back-stamps BP-1a (tan), BP-1a (pale green), BP-1b (pale green), BP-2a (pale green), BP-2a (tan), BP-3a (pale green) or BP-3b (tan).
 
In the second version which was issued in 1972 and ran until 1980 His ears are out but his shoes are molded to his body.  The first variation in this version has a pale green jacket & yellow and orange pompon.  The second variation has a tan jacket & yellow and orange pompon. The third variation has a brown jacket and a solid orange pompon.  It has the back-stamps BP-2 (very rare), BP-3a (pale green jacket), BP-3a (tan jacket), BP-3b (pale green jacket) or BP-3b (tan Jacket).
 
In the third version (first variation) which was issued in 1980 and ran until 2000, Benjamin’s ears are ‘in’ (they cannot be seen) and his shoes are molded to his body. He can have either a brown jacket and tan shoes or light tan jacket and shoes.  It has the back-stamps BP-3b (brown), BP-3c (brown), BP-4 (brown), BP-5 (brown) or BP-10c (light tan).
 
N.B.  From 1989 until 1998 the figurine was produced by Royal Albert.
 
In the third version (second variation) which was issued in 1998 and ran for one year Benjamin’s ears are ‘in’ and his shoes are ‘in’.   He has Gold shoes and has the back-stamp BP-9b. 
 
In the third version (third variation) which was issued in 2001 and ran until 2002 His ears are ‘in’ and his shoes are ‘in’.   He has a satin finish and has the back-stamp BP-11a.  
 
The fourth version is in the large size ( 15.9 cm) and was modelled by Martyn Alcock.
In the first variation in this size, which was issued in 1994 and ran until 1997, his ears are ‘in’ and his shoes are ‘in’.   He  has brown shoes and the back-stamp BP-6b (Royal Albert).
In the second variation in this size, which was issued in 1997 in a limited edition of 1,947, his ears are ‘in’ and his shoes are ‘in’.   He has Gold shoes and the back-stamp BP-9c. 
 
Benjamin Sat On A Bank:  This wonderful little figure was modelled by David Lyttleton and comes in two versions.Benjamin Sat on a Bank
 
In the first version Benjamin has his head lookiing down and has a brown jacket.   It was issued in 1983 and ran until 1985.  It has the back-stamps BP-3b or BP-3c.
 
In the second version Benjamin has his head looking up and he has a Golden Brown Jacket.  It ran with the Beswick back-stamp from 1983 to 1988 and has the back-stamp BP-3b or BP-3c.
