There are two versions and 5 variations of the Tom Kitten Figurine
The First Version was modelled by Arthur Gredington.
First Version – First Variation: Is in the small size (8.9 cm) and was issued in 1948 and discontinued in 1980. It has a deep blue jacket and trousers and dark green base and has the back-stamp BP-1a, BP2, BP3a or BP-3b.
First Version – Second Varation: is also in the small size (8.9 cm) and has a light blue jacket and trousers and light green base. It was issued in 1980 and discontinued in 1999 and has the back-stamp BP-3b, BP-3c, BP-4 or BP-10c.
First Version – Third Variation: is in the small size (8.9 cm) Tom is wearing a light blue jacket and trousers with gold buttons. It was issued in 1997 and ran for just one year. It has the back-stamp BP-9b.
N.B. The small version of Tom Kitten was issued with two different style bases.
The Second Version was modelled by Martyn Alcock and is in the large size (13.3 cm).
Second Version – First Variation: was issued in 1994 and ran until 1997. Tom has light blue jacket and trousers with Yellow buttons and has a light green base.
It has the back-stamp VP-8
Second Version – Second Variation: was issued in 1994 and ran until 1997. Tom has light blue jacket and trousers with Gold buttons. It has the back-stamp BP-9c.
Tom Kitten and Butterfly
This figurine was modelled by Ted Chawner and was issued in 1987 and ran until 1994. Tom is wearing a Blue outfit and a yellow hat. It has the back-stamp BP-3c
Tom Kitten in the Rockery
This figurine was modelled by Warren Platt and was issued in 1998 and discontinued in 2002. Tom has blue jacket and trousers with a yellow hat. It has the back-stamp BP-10a.
